Terms of Reference (summary):

ITC is looking for a contractor to conduct a social impact assessment (SIA) methodology with a selected investment project (company) in the bamboo sector in Ethiopia. The investment project encompasses the development of a bamboo pulp and paper production plant, and the development of related supporting industries, such as bamboo furniture, nano fibre packaging, art craft etc. This methodology will aim at identifying and analysing potential social impacts related to the investment project in Ethiopia. In preparing this analysis, the contractor is required to undertake community and stakeholder engagement in order to:

• understand who is likely to be impacted and how;
• identify and assess potential social impacts;
• develop management measures to mitigate adverse impacts and enhance benefits
