Is this lot more or less similiar to lot 11?                                                                             A7: Multifunctional electro-surgery unit must enable monopolar and bipolar electrosurgery functions, vessel fusion technology and Argon plasma coagulation, for applications listed in lines 1-6. The item is thouroughly explained in relation to functions, including tools and accessories per mode, therefore photos are not required.

Therefore, technical specifications remain unchanged.

The difference between monopolar and bipolar electrosurgery is how the electrical current travels and completes the circuit. In monopolar electrosurgery, the current passes through the connected device (active electrode) directly to the affected tissue where the desired tissue effect occurs. It then passes through the patient’s body to where a dispersive pad electrode is placed. The dispersive electrode receives the current and then transmits the energy back to the electrosurgical unit to complete the circuit. By contrast, during bipolar procedures, the electrical current flows from the generator, and is concentrated at the treatment site by the active electrode, such as a bipolar probe. Because the active electrode delivers the current to the tissue, and returns the current through the same device, there is no need for a dispersive electrode. Bidders should offer devices with min 3 outputs - 2 monopolar and 1 bipolar. 24 Connectors for connecting cables must be protected against water ingress: IPX4; IP rating codes are internationally recognized and follow a standardized scale defined in IEC 60529 and its national or regional equivalents such as ANSI 60529 in the US and EN 60529 in Europe. The code contains the IP prefix followed by two numbers. The first number describes resistance to ingress of solids such as dust or other small particles, while the second number expresses protection against liquids. It usually refers to the voltage between the active electrode and the tissue is less than 180 VpW. The coagulation is faster but less penetrating than gentle coagulation, and device must be able to perform in a given range. 34 Trolley with accessory basket: (Qty 1); This point refers to mobile cart for store and transport of electrosurgical unit, which has a storage place designed as basket and roll-and-lock wheels. 36 Reusable neutral electrode (approximate dimensions 18 x ), cable length of at least 3 metres: (Qty 2); This item refers to electrodes which are used for check of the electrical connection to determine whether the unit's neutral electrodes connected and applied properly, but they also monitor the dispersion of High Frequency (HF) current and provide an audible warning tone before any adverse situation can become critical. 38 Reusable holder of monopolar electrodes, activation from the foot pedal, cable length not less than 3 m: (Qty 2); this item refers to reusable electrode handle, which is compatible with offered electrosurgical units. The electrode handle and the connecting cable are separable and therefore individually disposable; handle is usually offered with connecting cables in 3m, 4 m and 5m length, with compatible plugs to the offered items.

It is clearly stated that device is a self-contained, electrically powered medical instrument designed to destroy tissue of the uterine cervix with low-grade heat. This portable device uses a reusable metallic probe which is electrically heated to approximately 100° Celsius and applied for a period of 20 – 30 seconds to the affected area. This will result in epithelial and stromal destruction of the lesion. Therefore bidders are encouraged to offer items with methodology adequate for applications listed in lines 10-12.
