The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) hereby invites you to submit a Proposal to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Production and live television broadcasting of two (2) UNDP Nigeria Development Dialogue shows and one (1) televised Town Hall event
Project Description
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) partners with people at all levels of society to help build nations that can withstand crisis, and drive growth sustainably to improve the quality of life for everyone. On the ground over 170 countries and territories, we offer global perspective and local insight to help empower lives and build resilient nations.
Strategic and impactful communications are essential to UNDP’s work; it broadens the impact of policies, facilitates governance reforms and helps to build strong partnerships for resource mobilization and programme delivery. UNDP’s communication efforts in Nigeria are aimed at strengthening the position of UNDP as a thought leader in development and a partner of choice for the Government of Nigeria. This is done through the development and implementation of communication strategies with core messages and clear constituencies at home and abroad.
The Communication and Partnership Unit is responsible for enhancing UNDP Nigeria’s image through engagement with both local, regional and international media. The Unit serves as the main interface to work with the media to promote UN messaging on the organisation’s priorities, position UN and UNDP leadership, highlight programme results, donor contributions as well as the many strategic partnerships throughout its work.
In the context of implementing UNDP’s Country Programme (2018-2022), the UNDP Nigeria is planning two televised development dialogue shows around two sustainable development themes of public interest, namely (1) Public health and COVID-19 and(2) Inclusive Economic Growth in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to this, and as part of the UN’s response to the spike in cases of gender-based violence in Nigeria due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UNDP Nigeria is also planning to organize a televised town hall on the Spotlight Initiative to highlight the issue of violence against women and girls.
UNDP is therefore procuring professional services of a local television production and broadcasting company to assist in the planning, coordination, and production of the abovementioned TV broadcast programmes.
Scope of Work
