EXTENDED Reinforcement works, dismantling, removal of architectural debris, and repairs at the Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after Mykhailo Boychuk (Kyiv, Ukraine)
United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:
Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after Mykhailo Boychuk is located in St. Mykhailo Boychuk, 32 - Pechersk district, Kyiv, UKRAINE. The building is classified according to the National Classification of Buildings and Structures as NK 018-2023 – 1263 "Buildings of educational institutions and research institutions".
On 25 March 2024 the Mykhailo Boychuk Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design, was impacted by the fragments of a missile strike. The epicenter of the explosion was part of the building of the educational building Block 3, as a result of which the building suffered significant damage.
This part of the Block 3 building included the sport hall, the concert hall, the ceramic workshop, as well as the exhibition gallery. The premises of the Academy's departments and classrooms also sustained significant damage.
UNESCO experts have already inspected and assessed the damage caused by the missile strike and provided recommendations for mitigating the consequences. Block 3 and the transition insert are in a state of emergency, the category of technical condition is "4". A full assessment report will be made available by UNESCO to the selected bidder.
UNESCO is looking for a vendor to provide reinforcement works, dismantling, removal of architectural debris, and repairs of the internal heating networks of the Block 3.
